We do numerous fine art shows each year and there are invariably differences between the experience and the products offered on the web site and at art shows. We would like to highlight some of these differences.
Product Differences
There are a number of products on our web site that we do not offer at fine art shows. At fine art shows we have a defined space in which we can display our artworks. This space naturally dictates the amount and the variety of products that can be effectively displayed. You will find a much greater product variety on our web site than you will find at the fine art fairs we attend.
Print Differences
People who attend an art fair are in some ways a captive audience. They get to see and select from the images we have decided to print. On our web site, however, visitors can select from any of the art show images, but they have the added advantage of being able to have a custom print made from any of the thousands of images in our image archives. This is a tremendous advantage if you are seeking a specific concept or locale for a fine art print.
Another significant difference between art shows and the web site is that we do not normally discuss or preset artist's proofs at art shows. Artist's proofs are available for all limited edition prints and are limited to 10% of the edition size. Those interested in artist's proofs should call us to obtain additional information.
Experiential Differences
At an art show our visitors have the ability to see the outstanding quality of our images and our framing techniques first hand. Visitors to our booth are continuously taken aback and driven to exclamation by our art. You can often hear "Wow!", "Oh that's absolutely beautiful!", "This is just stunning", "Look at that!", and all from the same person as they thumb through a display bin of our images. Despite our efforts, this is a harder experience to achieve online where art is only seen as a two dimensional array of colors on a monitor. The monitor just doesn't jump out at you like one of our prints mounted behind professionally cut fine cotton matting.
Conversely, art show visitors have less time and opportunity to view alternate images to decide which would be ideal for over the fireplace. They also do not generally have the ability to walk from their computer monitor to their planned display room to get a good sense of how the image will actually look on the wall.
Art shows provide the true visceral feeling for the art, whereas the web site provides the ability to contemplate art selection decisions in a more deliberate manner. But whichever alternative you experience we can guarantee that you will be absolutely thrilled with your artwork or we will refund your purchase price entirely.
