Quick Searches
The Quick Search method allows you to very quickly identify a subject area or keyword and to then initiate a search of our fine art image gallery. This is the fastest way to specify and initiate a search, but may locate too many or too few images for your needs. It is a great way to do a spot check, but lacks sufficient options to perform a detailed search. The Quick Search essentially trades speed for accuracy. You can initiate a Quick Search by specifying the criteria selection information in the column at left and then hitting your return key or pressing the GO! button.

Search Wizardry
If you need to refine your fine art image search or want more control over the search parameters,  then you can use our Search Wizards. These simple to use, yet extremely sophisticated image search tools allow you to find fine art images based upon numerous optional search criteria. 

The Search Wizards provide a step-by-step approach to defining clear and powerful search queries. Each step presents a clear common language discussion of what you are specifying, why you might want to use, or skip, this specification step, and how to make the proper criteria specification. The Search Wizards are very powerful, easy to use,  and very effective at finding images that match your precise needs.

Search Wizard Example

If you want to find images of Landscapes in California's Eastern Sierra showing a Mountain Peak with Reflected Light in a Lake at Sunrise, you could easily find numerous images that fit these precise requirements.  Items indicated in Bold Italic are separate classifications that we can associate with an image. When you select one or more of these classification areas the Search Wizards will locate all fine art images that match your criteria. Our images are placed into common subject categories that make location and selection of these subjects simple.

The Search Wizards allow you to further refine your online search if desired. You could also indicate that you are only interested in 35mm and 6x9 images, with a vertical orientation, shot in color. The Search Wizards allow you to be as picky or as general as you desire in your search specification.  Try it. We're very sure you'll like it.

Search Wizards allow you to create and execute sophisticated online fine art image searches based upon numerous criteria such as: 

• Location
• Category (all of our images are placed into clearly defined categories)
• Subject (we provide selectable lists of the subjects by which our fine art images are cataloged, enabling you to find any image associated with that subject)
• Image Orientation (vertical, horizontal, or square)
• Film Format (35mm, Medium Format, Large Format, etc.)
• Film Type (e.g. Negative or Transparency)
• Color or Black & White
• Photographer
