Like most stock agencies, we are continually looking for exciting new images. If you are an experienced professional or serious amateur photographer who has or can produce a significant number of marketable images, then we would like you to consider submitting some of your images for our review.
Who Should Submit Images?
We are interested in reviewing images from new and established photographers. However, we seek to understand a bit about your images before you send us a formal submission. Please contact us first via email with a brief description of the types of images you can supply. Please include a brief discussion of the subjects in your images, the film types and film sizes used, and the quantity of images available for submission. Don't bother with a lot of detail, just provide enough information to enable us to get a sense for what you can provide. If we feel that your work has market potential, we will follow up and may ask you to submit 300 images, according to the guidelines below, for an initial review. We will occasionally allow you to submit fewer than 300 images if you have truly exceptional work or if your images are particularly unique or hard to produce. If your images meet our requirements you will receive a contract to review.
About Our Contract
From a photographer's perspective, our contracts are simple, straight forward, and quite beneficial. Our primary requirements are that you agree to supply at least 200 images per calendar quarter and that images submitted to us (and substantially similar images) must not be concurrently licensed through another stock agency. You are free to market other dissimilar images through any other stock agency or marketing outlet. Revenues derived by Munson Photographic from image licensing fees are split equally between Munson Photographic and the photographer, with your 50% share paid within 90 days of revenue receipt by Munson Photographic. The contract also clearly states that you will retain full copyright to your images and that Munson Photographic, acting solely as an agent to market your images, can never claim ownership of your images.
Image Subjects
We are looking for images of people, particularly people engaged in some form of activity. We are also looking for interesting pictures of lifestyles, business activities, industry, sports, recreation, cultures (worldwide), high technology, city skylines, daily life in a city (worldwide), medicine, education, and agriculture. To a much lesser extent we are also interested in nature, wildlife, and scenic images that have unusual qualities or represent high visual impact, especially images from outside the United States. Common images of Yellowstone, the Grand Titans, or Yosemite are already widely available. But, if you have a great image of a cliff-side collapse at Yosemite, we would love to see it.
Companies who license images from Munson Photographic are generally interested in stellar images. Only outstanding images sell effectively so we work hard to ensure that only images of this quality are present in our files.
Submission Guidelines
We provide guidelines for submission packets that make it easy for us to process your images. Processing images is very time consuming and subject to certain types of errors. The submission guidelines are intended to expedite image handling and to ensure images are added to our libraries without error. The guidelines also help ensure that your images are presented to potential image buyers as part of a professional presentation package.
Please review our Submission Guidelines prior to submitting any images to Munson Photographic.
